The General manager of "golden wheat mills company": Contracts supplied for "UNRWA", the World Food Program and the Red Cross behind the sharp decline in the profits of the company
The director general of GMC, the only mill in the West Bank, Judeh Kamal, stated that the company contracted for the supply of flour for the Relief and Works Agency refugees "UNRWA", the World Food Program and the International Committee of the Red Cross, is behind the sharp decline in the profits of the company to around 100 Jordanian dinars for the first nine months of this year, from about 5,690 thousand dinars in the corresponding period of last year. Kamal said in a statement for Alayyam Newspaper that,” The contract with the World Food Program to supply the quantities of flour to be used in their assistance to the beneficiaries was in accordance with the wheat prices in the month of November last year, but the withdrawal of all of these quantities in the last four months of the contract, witnessed a big increase in wheat prices globally.
