Palestine Securities Exchange: 5 companies disclose their semiannual results

Ramallah- Palestine securities exchange received the revised semiannual financial results as of 30/06/2009 for the following companies: Jerusalem Cigarette Company (JCC), Palestine Electric Company (PEC), Jerusalem Real Estate Investment (JREI), Birzeit Pharmaceutical Company (BPC) and Jerusalem Pharmaceutical Company (JPH). The applied disclosing system gives the listed companies a period of a month and a half to announce the financial results of the second quarter for the current year. 

Jerusalem Cigarette Company (JCC): The Company"s results indicated a net income of JD 1009796 comparing to JD 1049769 in the first half of the year 2008. As for the company"s total assets on 30/06/2009 they reached JD 29770244 after they were JD 31109661 on 31/12/2008. Total liabilities reached JD 19111547 after they were JD 20054030 on 31/12/2008. Shareholders" equity dropped from JD 11055631 on 31/12/2008 to reach JD 10658697 as of 30/06/2009. Palestine Electric Company (PEC): The Company"s results indicated a net income of $ 2678708 comparing to a net income of $ 2579856 in the first half of the year 2008. As for the company"s total assets on 30/06/2009 they reached $ 137662394 after they were $ 137434743 on 31/12/2008. Total liabilities reached $ 66980717 after they were $ 63431774 on 31/12/2008. Shareholders" equity dropped from $ 74002969 on 31/12/2008 to reach $ 70681677 as of 30/06/2009. Jerusalem Real Estate Investment (JREI): The Company"s results indicated a net income of $ 218322 comparing to a loss $ 81353 in the first half of the year 2008. As for the company"s total assets on 30/06/2009 they reached $ 12446393 after they were $ 13314957 on 31/12/2008. Total liabilities reached $ 2667206 after they were $ 3354253 on 31/12/2008. Shareholders" equity dropped from $ 9960704 on 31/12/2008 to reach $ 9779187 as of 30/06/2009. Birzeit Pharmaceutical Company (BPC): The Company"s results indicated a net income of JD 1594019 comparing to JD 3878167 in the first half of the year 2008. As for the company"s total assets on 30/06/2009 they reached JD 33334279 after they were JD 33032330 on 31/12/2008. Total liabilities reached JD 6346188 after they were JD 6461968 on 31/12/2008. Shareholders" equity rose from JD 26570362 on 31/12/2008 to reach JD 26988091 as of 30/06/2009. Jerusalem Pharmaceutical Company (JPH):  The Company"s results indicated a net income of JD 925050 comparing to JD 1311252 in the first half of the year 2008. As for the company"s total assets on 30/06/2009 they reached JD 23710009 after they were JD 23721278 on 31/12/2008. Total liabilities reached JD 3400083 after they were JD 3165210 on 31/12/2008. Shareholders" equity rose from JD 20556068 on 31/12/2008 to reach JD 20309926 as of 30/06/2009.
