Palestine securities exchange issued the fifteenth edition of its monthly statistical bulletin "TADAWUL", which summarizes the market performance and Al-Quds index movement and trading volumes and values during last June. TADAWUL indicated that Al-Quds index had closed at the level of 688.58 points at the end of June 2008 declining by 8.12 points as %1.17 versus May"s closings. This decline came within the decrease of the indices of Industry and Insurance and Services sectors, while investment sector"s index registered an increase of %2.07 when it closed at the level 43.00 points, as for banking sector"s index it gained by %1.98 to close at the level of 101.20 points. On the contrary insurance index lost by %2.13 to close at the level of 70.14 points, also industry sector"s index decreased by %0.49 to end at the level of 64.46 points, while services sector"s index declined by %3.51 to close at the end 68.13 points. On the other hand, Al-Quds index indicates that it is still gaining by 161.31 points versus the closing of 2007 which is %30.60 where it had closed at the level of 527.26 points at the end of 2007. The statistics indicated that trading value declined by %33.07, where trading value had reached $122 million versus $ 183 million in May 2008. 37 million shares had been traded in June versus 43 million shares in May that registered a decline of %13.34.
