In an interview with Alquds newspaper, Dr.Abdulmalik Al-Jabir denied the intensions of selling shares to anyone, assuring the existing of interest from Arab Gulf parties that offer themselves as strategic partners in the company, considering this a source of pride to be PALTEL a target for strategic partners that are essential elements in the communications market. Al-Jabir indicated that this doesn’t go beyond expressing the interest, and in case in arriving to a final stage, they will return to the Palestinian National Authority and specialized authorities such as shareholders and board of directors to present the partnership. Al-Jabir assured that there is a huge difference between selling and strategic partner, and indicated that who established PALTEL don’t wish to sell the company but in case of strategic partnership it will be a positive factor and a national accomplishment and will strengthen the national economy. And regarding what had been announced about the progress in the frequencies" negotiations for WATANIYA co, Al-Jabir considered this positive news pointing out to PNA attempts" failure to attain frequencies since 1996.
