Dr. Jawad Al-Naji the prime minister"s consultant for Arab and Islamic financial funds and committees " issues, announced that the Arab financial committees decided in their annual meeting that had been convened last week in Yemen to deduct %10 of their last year profit to support Palestinian population"s needs. Al-Naji indicated that this percentage constitute Approximately $77 million, and it will be offered as a donation to the Palestinians through financing a package of programs and projects that will be presented by the PNA soon that consist with the development and reformation plan (2008-2010). The minister demonstrated that within this decision, the Arab financial committees are renewing their commitment for the sixth year in a row to support different Palestinian projects, pointing out that the financial value for this commitment had been distributed among the five funds where the Arab fund for social and economic development contributed by $40 million and the Arab Monetary fund had committed by $ 16.20 million, where the Arab bank for economic development had contributed by $16.40 and the Arab committee for Agriculture investment committed by $1.80 million.
