The Palestinian government announced yesterday that it started to receive payments from the promised pledge which approximately constitute $7 billion for the upcoming three-year period. The planning minister in the government Dr.Samir abdallah announced in a statement for the France press that "we received the first payments from Saudi Arabia, UAE and France and we anticipate receiving more after signing the required agreements, Saudi Arabia had transferred $42 million, France also transferred $35 million and $30 million from the UAE, this is a proportion from the pledged donation that had been announced in the donors" conference that had been held last December".The Planning minter also expected from the donors countries and institutes to wire around $1.8 billion during 2008, pointing out that $427 million will be specialized for projects while the remaining will go to the treasury.
