Jenin / Ali Samoudi –Palestine Consulting Committee for developing the nongovernmental organizations PCS signed in Jenin with Al Rafah Microfinance Bank - a first of its kind in Palestine- understanding agreement to execute small income generating projects within the framework of partnership among the private sector and the civil society sector, in a formal ceremony attended by the General manager of Al Rafah Bank Sami Al-Saidi, the governor of Jenin Qaddura Musa, the Committee director Shami Al Shami, Al Rafah branch manager of Jenin Majdi Abu Al-Hija, and facilities manager in the north-Jamal Moses, in addition to representatives of dozens of associations and institutions in Jenin . The vice director Farha Abu Al-Hija opened the ceremony with his speech which outlined the criteria for the selection of eligible institutions to engage in this program, namely to meet the legal status, and capable cadres of innovation in creating meaningful and creative ideas for the advancement of civil society institutions in Jenin district and provide a model for the West Bank. She added: that the reality of Palestinian civil society during the last two decades is unsatisfactory and contained a lot of problems, and there are many questions about the ability of these institutions to survive in the event the stopping the foreign funding, which emphasizes the need to create a situation of self-development resources.
