Quiet transactions and a drop in Al Quds index, and the companies begin to disclose third quarter's results

6 out of 35 traded companies announced on the results of its operations for the third quarter of this year, 5 made a profit: BOP ($23.5 million), PIBC ($3.8 million), NIC ($ 4 million ), JPH (JD1.17 million), and PLAZA ($177 thousand), also The financial statements of AHC showed losses by JD428 thousand. Among successive disclosures of companies, the market witnessed a quiet trading week last week, while  Al-Quds index dropped by 7.48 points or %1.52 and closed the week trading at the level of  508.52 points, affected by the decline of all sector’s indices: investment, services, industry, and insurance,  excluding the banking sector’s which had gained. In terms of activity, the average number of shares traded increased by %24.39 to approximately 630 thousand shares per day from about 833 thousand shares per day in the previous week, as the trading value rate fall by %19.65 to about 981 thousand dollars a day from about $1.2 million per day in the previous week. In total, the market last week witnessed a 1748 transactions that included about 3.1 million per share in transactions valued at about $4.9 million compared with the 2167 transaction in the previous week, involving about 4.1 million per share in transactions valued at about $6.1 million. In general (31) companies’ shares were traded last week, where (6) witnessed an increase in their closing prices, (19) witnessed a decrease while (6) remaining company’s share stable.
