Trading was quiet in Palestine Securities Exchange; the market recorded a decline in activity, as well as in the main index for the second consecutive week.
The index has closed the week on 517.57 points, down by 79 points or %1.29 compared with the previous week , affected by the retreat of three sectors indices represented in the market: investment, services and industry, despite the rise in sectors of Banks and insurance.
Also, the market witnessed a decline in the volume; as the rate of number of shares traded declined by %59.85 to about 676 thousand shares per day from about 1.68 million shares a day in the previous week, as the trading value rate fell by %45.31 to about 2 .2 million dollars a day from about 4 million dollars a day in the previous week.
