The board of directors of the Palestine Telecommunications Company PALTEL holds an emergency meeting in the Jordanian capital today in a signal for the return on the movement on the d strategic partnership project with ZAIN. In the meantime, last week Palestine Securities Exchange witnessed a marked increase in activity, while Al-Quds index achieved gains and closed at 541.03 points, up by 16.17 points or %3.08 compared with the closed at the end of trading in the previous week.
The gains of Al-Quds index was driven by the indices of services and investment sectors, despite the decline in the sectors: banking, industry, and insurance.
In terms of activity, the average number of shares traded by rose by %46.66 to about 700 thousand shares per day from approximately 481 thousand shares per day in the previous week, while the trading value rate increased by %32.88 to reach $1.77 million a day from about $1.33 million a day in the previous week.
