In the first week of September, Al-Quds Index witnessed a significant increase of 2.79% than the previous week, to close at the level of 702.42 points, after trading in a relatively wide range. However, most blue-chips witnessed an increase in their prices than the previous week, while, trading was active this week, to raise the trading value to a relatively medium-level. On another hand, it is good to note that Palestine Stock Exchange PEX has sole characteristics. Where the current prices are considered investment opportunities compared to the market indicators that result from the semi-annual financial data and the average yield from one side, and the PEX isolation of itself from the outside effects that influence directly the other financial markets’ performance from another hand.
Regarding the economic indicators and according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics PCBS, the overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine with its base year (2019) reached 190.15 in July 2026, as it increased by 1.61% compared to June 2026. The changes of the Producer Price Index PPI for July 2026 were traced back to the increase in the prices of the following major activities compared to the previous month: agriculture, forestry and fishing by 3.00%, which had a share of 29.94%. And mining and quarrying by 0.12%, which had a share of 1.41%. While a decline in the prices of the following activities was witnessed: Water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities by 1.03%, which had a share of 1.50%. Manufacturing by 0.19%, which had a share of 58.92%. While the prices of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, which had a share of 8.23%, witnessed no change than the previous period.
Regarding the economic indicators and according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics PCBS as well, The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank reached 120.59 with a decrease of 0.28% during July 2026 compared with June 2026 (base year 2013). While The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for non-residential buildings in the West Bank reached 119.40 with a decrease of 0.28% during July 2026 compared with June 2026 (base year 2013).
