Sahem weekly trading report (21-25)-06-2026
In the last days of June and as the middle of the year 2026 approaches, Al-Quds Index traded in a relatively narrow range, closing at its highest levels since the beginning of the year, at the level of 661.25 points; recording in this week an increase of 0.30% compared to its previous weekly closing level and by 6.71% compared to the end of the year 2025. With the approaching end of June, Al-Quds Index traded in price range of 39 points since the beginning of the year, whereby, its highest level was reached on the 23rd of June, to record discount to high of 0.65%. While, touched its lowest level on March 3th, to record premium to low of 10.41%. Whereby, the month of June witnessed significant price rebounding for some leading stocks after the routinely Ex-dividends, and the improving in the political situation. Regarding the liquidity, it witnessed some activity in trading, meanwhile, a transaction of 4.70 million shares was executed on the stocks of the Arab Palestinian Investment Company APIC, to raise the trading value to a relatively high level.
Regarding the economic indicators and according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics PCBS, exports increased in April, 2026 by 39% compared to April, 2025 and reached $188.1 million. Also, imports increased in April, 2026 by 19% compared to April, 2025 and reached $673.4 million. While the trade balance, which represents the difference between exports and imports, showed an increase in trade deficit by 13% in April, 2026 compared to April, 2025 and reached $485.3 million.
Regarding the economic indicators and according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics PCBS and Palestine Monetary Authority PMA, the preliminary results of the international Investment Position IIP (external assets – foreign liabilities) for Palestine at the end of the first quarter of 2026 revealed that the net IIP amounted to $11,437 million. On the other hand, the Government's External Debt stock stabilized at about 1.3 billion US dollars at the end of the first quarter of 2026.
