In this week and with the start of the routinely anticipation for the listed companies’ annual financial data and dividends distribution trends for the year 2025 and what will devolve in their financial decisions accordingly, Al-Quds Index recorded gains of 1.72% than the previous week after trading in a relatively wide range, to close at the level of 638.77 points. While, Palestine Stock Exchange PEX witnessed executing several transactions on the leading stock of Palestine Development and Investment Company PADICO of 4.57 million shares, a transaction of 0.78 million shares on the stocks of Arkaan Real Estate Company ARKAAN, and a transaction of 0.13 million shares on the stocks of Beit-Jala Pharmaceuticals BJP. While the PEX witnessed trading activity on the stocks of Wataniya Palestine Mobile Telecommunications OOREDOO, to raise the trading value to a significantly high level. Where, with the beginning of February, 15 days remain to the legal period granted by the PEX to the listed companies to disclose their financial and operational annual data from the 45 granted days.
Regarding the economic indicators and according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics PCBS, primary estimates of GDP showed a sharp decline in the GDP of Palestine during the 3rd quarter of 2025 compared to the 3rd quarter of 2023, where most of economic activities recorded a sharp decline in value-added in Palestine, as construction activity declined by 27% (13% in the West Bank and 99% in Gaza Strip), agriculture, forestry and fishing activity declined by 16% (93% in Gaza Strip), wholesale and retail trade declined by 26% (16% in the West Bank and 90% in Gaza Strip). On the other hand, some of economic activities witnessed an increase in Palestine during the 3rd quarter of 2025 compared to the same quarter of 2024. Whereas the GDP for the 3rd quarter of 2025 was $3,026 million in the West Bank and $75 million in Gaza Strip.
In the same context, the GDP per Capita in Palestine, at constant prices, reached $578 in the third quarter of 2025. This represents a 29% decrease compared to the third quarter of 2023 (18% in the West Bank and 89% in Gaza Strip). The GDP per Capita in Palestine showed a slightly decrease in the third quarter of 2025 compared to the same quarter of 2024.
