The Palestine Exchange (PEX) Convenes its 6th Annual Palestinian Capital Market Forum on Tuesday, December 11

With a Focus on Current Challenges and Future Prospects of the Brokerage Industry Palestine Stock Exchange the PEX announced that the 6th Annual Palestinian Capital Market Forum will be held in Ramallah, Palestine on 11 December 2012. Leaders from the capital markets industry in Palestine and abroad will convene to collaborate in discussing and analyzing market challenges and in brainstorming on the best way forward for the Brokerage industry- a critical and potential-packed sector of the Palestinian economy, especially as the economy in Palestine continues to show resilience despite political challenges at home and in the region.At the forum, the array of local, regional, and international experts will cover a range of topics that are highly relevant to the challenges and opportunities that are unique to the Palestinian economic context. A key note speech will highlight the great potential that Palestine has great potential and is "a market for the patient". Discussion topics will include "Expected brokerage services as viewed by institutional investors," "Brokerage challenges...Regional expertise," "Low liquidity and new spheres for brokerage services in Palestine," and "Issuing new tools for trading and readiness of brokerage firms in Palestine," among others.In addition to comments by HE Dr. Salam Fayyad Prime Minister of the Palestinian National Authority, speakers are set to include HE Mr. Maher Masri, Chairman of the Palestine Capital Market Authority; Mr. David Grayson, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Auerbach Grayson, USA; Mr. Anwar Abu Sbaitan, CEO of Rasmala, UAE; Dr. Waleed Al Nassan, CEO of EFG Hermes, Jordan; Mr. Jamal Ala Eddin, CEO of Target Jordan Palestine Securities; Mrs. Abeer Odeh, CEO of Capital Market Authority, Palestine; Mrs. Ruba Masrouji Alami, GM of United Securities, Palestine; and the Palestine Exchange"s own Chairman Prof. Dr. Rami Hamdallah and CEO Ahmad Aweidah.The Annual Palestinian Capital Market Forum constitutes a major attraction for Palestine"s financial and capital markets community; it serves as an opportunity to meet listed companies, regulators, Palestine Exchange executives, market analysts, stock brokers and bankers.
