Palestine Electric Company warns from operation stoppage for its generators

The CEO of Palestine Electric Company PEC; Mr. Waleed Suleiman warned about the willing of the Gaza Power Plant Project’s administration to be forced to stop the operation of one of the electricity generators starting from next Thursday, if Gaza Electricity Distribution Company will not be able to pay the cost of maintenance for the electricity generator and finance the purchase of its spare parts to help it continue its operation. Mr. Suleiman emphasized that the distribution company is supposed to transfer one million dollar to complete the electricity generator’s maintenance urgently.  He added that the generators “turbines” require regular maintenance since it is operated currently by using the Egyptian diesel.
