The Minister of National Economics of Palestine ; Dr. Hasan Abu Libdeh discussed along with delegates from the U.S Ministry of Commerce headed by the Deputy Minister Mr. Francisco Sanchez , methods to support and strengthen the economics and trading relations between the two countries. Mr. Francisco Sanchez pointed out that the U.S. administration is required to support the Palestinians in order to help in their growth & development; given the fact the economy is the core of the coming Palestinian state.
The meeting discussed ways and means to support and strengthen the Palestinian economy and of improving the business environment, and communicate with the outside world and access to global markets and the continued support of economic development, by supporting the Palestinian private sector, and to activate trade agreements between the two countries, which achieves sustainable development and increase in economic growth and reduces the rate of unemployment in the Palestinian society.
In turn, Sanchez expressed his appreciation for the efforts undertaken by the National Authority in building state institutions, despite the obstacles they face, stressing his country"s commitment to continue its support to improve the economic situation in Palestine through the support and development, private sector development, emphasizing adoption of any Palestinian vision will contribute to the development of economic relations between the two countries.
