Hebron: the Bank of Palestine celebrates the opening of its branch in the village of Dora in Hebron

 

 

The Bank of Palestine yesterday celebrated the opening of its new branch in the village of Dora located in south Hebron . This brought the number of its branches across the nation to 30, noting that this is the second branch in Hebron . Those who participated in the opening ceremony were The Banks General Manager Hashem Shawa, Council Member Mohammed Harbawi, Ali Pharon representing The Monetary Authority, Mayor of Dora Mustafa Rjoub and a number of officials and commanders of security agencies and economists. The bank assured in a statement the importance of opening a new office in Dora for the entire region in order to provide services for citizens and facilitate their tasks and daily work. Alshawa, in a speech read by him stated that the banks interest and his tireless efforts to deliver banking services to all categories of the Palestinian people in conclusion this is what lead him to open a new branch in South Dora. He referred that the Bank of Palestine is ranked most prevalent in Palestine .Alshawa showed a profile of the bank s spread across the nation, pointing out it contains 43 automatic cashiers.

 

While the value of assets in the first half of this years $655 million and deposits of $580 million. While the value of facilities, during the same period of time, amounted to $261 million. Assuring the goal of the bank is to increase market shares in the Palestinian Banking, and reliance on quality and optimal performance in order to keep in pace with technological developments and contribute in building the community.

 

Alshawa was proud to show the banks award for the best bank transfers system in the Middle East , and provides a range of banking services characteristics. It also possesses the first and only credit card issuance in Palestine . The representative of the Monetary Authority stated the opening of this new branch adds to the quality of the Bank of Palestine, which stretches across the nation providing banking services to residential areas outside their cities. He pointed out the objectives the bank will pursue are to achieve profit and investments, and also communication with members of the community. Mr.Pharon hoped the bank to continue its progress and prosperity towards further providing banking services.Mr.Rjoub said that the new branch of the Bank of Palestine”renews hope for the nations economy”,expressing his hopes that the new branch will contribute to lifting the national economy,especially that the bank is a national institute investing its money in the Palestinian Territories . As for the Mayor of Dora,he talked about the economic blockage imposed on the Palestinians and the attempts to disrupt the occupation role of banking institutions in the recovery of the national economy to prevent the introduction of grants and funds, calling for overcoming the obstacles and play the roles away from pressures and dictations.The bank began its banking branch in a new film opening soon.
