Ramallah: Dr.Salam Fayyad with a German Parliamentary Delegation discusses providing assistance

 Walter Helboyo, member of the German Parliament, said yesterday that the European Union is currently working on a development program for the assistance of the Palestine people through the government of Salam Fayyad, with a goal to alleviate the suffering in Palestinian Territories , especially Gaza . Mr.Helboy and members of the German Parliament met with Dr. Salam Fayyad. The amount of assistance to be submitted wasn’t stated in this meeting, but it was confirmed that support will continue.Mr.Helboyo pointed out the meeting with Dr.Salam Fayyad has been successful and included a talk about different ways of assistance from the European Union and the German Parliament for the Palestinian people.Helboyo, being the delegated speaker on behalf of the German government and the European Union, assured the support of Dr.Fayyads government in efforts to achieve security and safety in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. He stated that he would be meeting with Israeli Officials tomorrow in order to point out that he intends to call upon Israel’s Government to lift the restrictions imposed on the Palestinian Government. A member of the German Parliament mentioned that meetings will continue with the Palestinian side in the future also.
